I'm doing my roof this weekend I hope.  I went to Home Depot and bought the white elastomeric stuff @ $54 a 5 gal pail. Note that you must apply 2 coats.  Last time, I got the silver stuff, it was a lot cheaper.  But, it's still really cheap compared to having it coated by a roofer.

Here's to a cool dry summer inside. And to me not having to go back up onto the roof for many years.

Home Depot has the aluminum coating mentioned earlier (referred to as "silvered"). They also have a white elastomeric product which may or may not be the Rohm & Haas formulation cited. I've used both types over the years. The white stuff seems to be better at getting into little cracks, but is a lot more expensive.

The Home Depot on Columbus Blvd (south of Penn's Landing -- between Washington and Snyder on the same pier as a WalMart) is one of the best-stocked of the company's outlets in the area.

There's also a roofing supply company on Washington Ave (Ivan Supply). Stelwagen is (or was) there too, but may be closed down. I never found either of these places to be helpful if I had questions -- they expect their customers to be professional roofers. But maybe they've gotten more customer-oriented now that Home Depot is taking away some of their business.
