You may want to try to find a landlord who is listing privately and then
offer a larger than normal security deposit (say 2 or 3 months rent) in
order to allay any fears of excessive damage caused by the dog.  Of course,
if you have a dog that is going to tear the place up, you are going to lose
your larger than normal security deposit.

If anyone has any suggestions for dog friendly landlords, Please offer any
advice.
I will need a one bedroom for July 1st. I have already tried Alan Klein,
they are a bit out of my price range. Urban & bye said they do not have any
listings for pets. And I am renting from Jeff now, but my apartment is too
small for me and my dog. I feel incredibly guilty that he has no room to
move about.
