Fellow geeks and wannabes-

If you're a technology nerd, you likely already have a WiFi network in
your house. And if you already have a wireless network (or even if you're
trying to jump on your neighbor's network--there are at least three on my
block alone), you're well aware that the antennas that come with most
wireless access points and PC cards are not so good.

Come to Alpha Labs' Wifi Antenna Workshop, and learn how to build a high
gain directional antenna for your WiFi network, using cheap off the shelf
parts, and a coffee can. The workshop will cost $10-20 on a sliding scale.

Bring your own can (coffee optional). We'll have the off the shelf parts
available at cost (about $10).

If you have questions, please reply off-list. Thanks!

Alpha Laboratory is a project to open a public internet lab and
technology education center in a community resource center that is
being built at 4134 Lancaster Avenue. We're having a fundraiser,
and it's also a good opportunity to come and find out more about
the project!
