I had a friend who worked for Provident Mutual when they were planning to
move to center city. The reason for the move was the high cost of
maintaining the building at 4600 Market Street. The insurance company gave
their old building away to a university, Lincoln University if I remember
rightly. They took a nice tax write-off and saddled the university with a
white elephant.
