I thought the cucumbers and goat cheese in the PECTOPANs were great, if not repetitive... Dubrovnik was beautiful (now shelled out), and the countryside was spectacular (now ravaged in part). I have a picture of a couple of tripmates eating ice cream along a wall, and years later I saw a picture of the same wall (!) with soldiers pausing during battle. <sigh> Oh, and Bulgaria was far worse off than Yugoslavia.
