There is a market for anything... errr everything.

No contemporary setting movie is made without
"product placements." It is NOT the director
striving for "realism." Coke pays to have the
characters swill its beverage, and its signage
appear in the background of shots. Reeces has
the most well known and successful "placement"
in ET. Sales of Reeces Pieces skyrocketed after
release of the movie.
