This summer, the cicadas that emerge once every 17 years will be appearing on the east coast, apparently covering the area north of here all the way down to Georgia.
For anyone who lived in West Philadelphia 17 years ago: do we get these cicadas here? I know they usually inhabit (and eat) forests and wooded areas, but I'm not sure how densely wooded the area needs to be. Would Woodland cemetary qualify? How about Bartram's?
