Title: Re: [UC] Interested in Pastured/Humanely raised meats and poultry?
If people are going to eat meat - which the majority of people in this country do, there needs to be more humane options. Yes, humanely raised animals are treated well during their lives. And yes, they are killed for food. They are killed in the most humane way possible - this varies by species.

If you are going to eat meat - and wear leather for that matter - you need to be aware of and respectful towards the animals' lives before it reaches you. Factory farmed animals - which is what you will mostly find in mainstream stores - are tortured and depraved during their short lives then they are crated off to be killed in awful ways with no respect towards their feelings or their lives as a whole.

If you choose to eat meat - which you do not need to survive - you should take responsibility for the actions that bring that meat to you.

If you don't like the thought of any of this, become a vegetarian. The earth will thank you.

Let me get this straight.  These animals are raised naturally, without
hormones and chemicals, with good feed, not tortured all their lives or
anything like that.  So these are humanely raised, right?  Then what - one
day you slaughter them and ship them off to market and eat them?  Oh...
Are they humanely slaughtered?  Just wondering...
