BINGO! DING! DING1 DING1 The word liberal has been hijacked by the neo-conservatives and is now a pejorative term (almost akin to N____ Lover). That is to say it means that liberals want to spend money on Social Programs that benefit minorities and take taxes from the "little people" and give funds to same minorities in the form of Affirmative Action. Political Correctness was conjured up by the Dominant Culture when they were FORCED (through diversity and sensitivity training) to deal with the inferior, unqualified beneficiaries of Affirmative Action in order to 'hide' any racist language towards said people. Conservative also has a new connotation. Even though I am conservative on some issues, as you stated you are liberal on some issues, the lines have been drawn.
