First, that is a silly thing to say in the context of Christy's comment. Christy's request that listserve participants refrain from referring to Arabs and Muslims as "ragheads" was not an attempt to stifle Mr. Bender's free speech rights, but rather, was a request that listserv members refrain from using ethnic/religious slurs. I am sure that Mr. Bender will continue to conduct himself exactly as he sees fit, irrespective of Christy's comments.
actually, christy was referring to RACIAL spurs/epaulets. I really wish people around here would read more carefully!
