We *own* our three story five-bedroom and an oversized
closet house; sharing it with more humans than we have
bedrooms (and far too many cats) makes it a lot
cheaper than renting. No disease outbreaks yet, and
we keep it up pretty well considering we're all either
students and/or work for non-profits. Yes, it's the
best living arrangement i've ever had. And despite
the DIY repairs and occasional house party or punk
band in the basement, i like to think we're pretty
good neighbors. We garden, clean up trash, leaves and
snow even when it's not in front of our house,
volunteer (though not at Clark Park since rising rents
forced us west, sorry), and make a point of being
friendly to our neighbors.

And, well, i know from experience that being friendly
to the neighbors is a lot more than some home owners
in our fine University City Village can manage.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know how
to get those nice metal mesh street trash cans
donated? I think one would help keep our block much
cleaner.
