I might add that the owner is very nice. The first time I went, he kept giving me free samples of different things to get my opinion (as a Venezuelan, I provide a different perspective on coffee).
While the decor isn't particularly attractive, for those of us of Latin descent, it was a kick to see some of the pictures. The greatest of Cuban music were represented. Some cool autographs as well.

I'd recommend Clave as well, but for a different reason. I live down the street from the Green Linbe, and whle that's a great place to go, sometimes it's difficult to get any writing done there. It's become really _familiar_, and I know too many of the regulars there.

So when I need to get to some place that's not as familiar, I usually go to Clave, or the place at 41st street.

But Clave's a good place even apart from that. I'd always wondered why someone hadn't set up a coffee shop there before: great location, after all.
