Dear Neighbors, My sister Maggie walked away from Einstein Hospital, yesterday, Saturday at about 6 PM.
She is profoundly ill, mentally and physically. She has already missed several doses of essential medicines. If anyone sees her, please give me a call. My cell is 215-880-2930. Maggie is Caucasian and 45 years old, but looks older because her teeth have been removed. She would be about 5'7" tall if she stood straight. She weighs only about 110#s. Her hair is long enough to be pulled back in a ponytail, it is straight and the dark brown gray mix that starts as blonde. Since she has been unattended and without medication for 20 hours she will probably appear dirty, dehydrated and disoriented. She currently lives in a group home in Mount Airy, but often wanders toward her old haunts here in UC. He favorite places include Clark Park and any of the restaurants or mini-markets where she might be able to bum a cigarette or a cup of coffee. Despite her frailties, she will walk for hours, so it is likely she'll try to get to UC. Maggie does not intend harm to others and is not violent. She is smart and honest, and will probably admit her name if you ask. Since she is probably getting sicker and more exhausted by the minute, she may be curled up on a park bench or in one of our Alleys. If you think you have seen her, please let me (or the police) know. The police have been informed, and her nurse has checked hospitals from Germantown to North Philly, and may check them all. I will stay near my home, in case Maggie shows up here or I get any helpful calls. The rest of the family is on the lookout for her. Any one who works in any hospitals, if you have a Jane Doe who meets this description, please give me a call. I love Maggie and want her back in a safe place as soon as possible.
