I recently got a UC-Brite pole lamp for the front of my house. The fixture that I got was too bright for my setting, and as near as I can tell, it is designed to only take that specific bulb.
So, I replaced the fixture with one that takes a regular screw-in bulb, so that I can select the wattage and color (warm vs cool) easily. Anyway, I've got the original fixture. It's only been used for a few weeks, so it's in good condition. It's the black plastic fixture with the milky glass "chimney" inside, to hide the fluorescent tubes. It's the standard UC-Brite fixture, there are a lot of them around Locust and 41st. I noticed that some are broken, so I thought someone might want to buy mine. I'll take best offer, or I'll give it free to a non-profit. This includes the "head" unit of black plastic with clear plastic windows, the glass "chimney" (like an oil lamp), the fluorescent bulb and electronics, and the transformer. All you need is the pole, power, and maybe a light sensor to turn it one and off. --- Chip ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity."
