University City District head resigning Eric T. Goldstein has resigned his position as executive director for University City District in West Philadelphia. He will be pursuing "new professional challenges," according to a statement released by the district. Goldstein replaced Paul Steinke in 2001, who also surprised observers of the special services district by resigning from the post three years after helping to start UCD. Goldstein has been with UCD for six-and-a-half years, spending nearly three years as executive director. He has agreed to stay on as executive director until the end of the year and will participate in the selection and hiring process of his replacement, according to the statement. Anthony Caneris, chairman of the UCD board, said in a statement that "Eric is an extremely hard-working individual who has provided enormous benefits to University City and to UCD. He is a strong leader who has delivered time and again for this organization and we will certainly miss his skills and dedication." ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity."
