newscaster mentioned the fact that NYC had just spent $18 million to
re-sod the Central Park Lawn, and THAT was the reason that the Mayor
and NYC's City Council are opposed to permits to use the lawn. And he
was the ONLY newscaster -- including those on Fox -- apparently to have
ferreted out this fact and reported on it. Interesting.
That fabulous re-sodding was "just" 7 years ago, dude. Since when there have been umpteen mass events on the lawn, including the Dave Matthews Frigging Band. Sure, Soros could pay for to be re-sodded, if it needed it, which I doubt. I saw it a few weeks ago, and it was in *good shape*. But Bloom-Bloom Berg could probably do it outta pocket hisself.
