I recently had my invasive Norway Maple cut down from my back yard. I plan to replace it with a less foliaged, less seedy, less shedding tree in the spring (maybe a pear?). Now, I have plenty of wood on the side of my house for my fireplace. It's a shame that my fireplace isn't working yet. If you held on to that wood, by the time your fireplace was fixed, it would be ready to burn.
