WTF?!? Is it really random?
I suspect this will be put on the back shelf, and life will go on, and this city will still suck, and people will look out their windows wondering if it is safe anymore, and the police will say they are doing everything they can, and more kids will die this year than last year, and next year more than this year, when the least we could have done was paid a little more attention...instead of looking the other way.

Man found dead with son nearby

A 24-year-old West Philadelphia man was found dead in his apartment yesterday afternoon with his 1-year-old son tied up nearby, police said.
Relatives who gathered in front of the man's apartment, in the 4900 block of Hazel Avenue, identified him as Raymond Thomas, a barber and father of two.
The boy, who was found bound at his feet, was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, police said.
The man was found in his bedroom.
"I guess he fell on the baby," said Donna Kollock, Thomas' aunt. She said neighbors heard the shots around 5 p.m., followed by the sounds of two men running down the stairs.
Thomas' girlfriend came home to find him dead, Kollock said.
Thomas lived in a third-floor apartment in a neighborhood a few blocks from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kollock said her nephew had lived there for about a year. She said he also had a 4-year-old daughter who lived elsewhere.
"He didn't bother nobody," she said. "I think it's just random."
Police said they knew of no motive for the shooting.
