If you're going to complain people are speculating, stop

Call the PLCB and ask them why they want to move their
store. Or stop in the store and ask the manager.
Then let us know what they say. Until then, you're not
going to get anything but speculation. Ask the people who
know, not the people who it's convenient to ask.
I'm not complaining.
here, I'll dumb it down:
so far in the news (the dp, uc review) the liquor store move
has been presented in terms of community participation and
debate, as a public question being publicly deliberated.
and in that same press we hear owner deritis speaking for
the plcb -- as both the developer for the plan and as a
'community leader'. we hear plcb officials not commenting on
the move and then later denying the move (twice). we then
hear that deritis is unavailable for comment.
and I am questioning what the press is presenting as
'community participation' and 'debate.'
is that clearer? I'm not complaining, I'm not taking sides.
I'm questioning the process.
to dumb it down even further:
the question is being framed as a public choice between A or
B. I'm asking how are A and B public options? are they
options of our making? our only options? our best options?
surely you can appreciate what's at stake here, kyle, since
you yourself are so personally interested in what the
mayorial candidates are going to do about all the recent
bigfoot sightings!
