Dear List, I am happy to report that I will be traipsing around Europe for a whole *two months* this summer, on Temple's dime, no less. However, my summertime travel has put the kabosh on my dreams to move into a Center City high rise. (Blame SEPTA) But I reallly, really want to move out of my ghettolicious apartment, where it rains on my bed on days like today, and the management has seen fit to simply *primer over* the peeling wallpaper in the hallway in preparation of painting the walls - sometime in the next six months.
So I am looking for a place, probably only for a year, for me and Elmo the cat to live in West Philly. We could move in early July or late August. We need at least a one bedroom, and I would really like some extra space. We must have a washer- dryer in the building. We are both quiet and well-behaved. I work on a lot of projects and will probably be writing a book this year. I have my landlord on my automatic monthly payment schedule, and am loved by said landlord. I would prefer to pay under $800 per month. If any of you know of anything out there that might work for Elmo and me, I would greatly appreciate it if you would send it my way. Because of my travel schedule, I have a very short period of time to actually look at any apartments, which is why I am appealing to this list.
