Marty attended the meeting last night representing Councilwoman
Blackwell's
Office and we discussed his removal from the Board of UCD. Marty stated
he is not currently a UCD Board Member. Marty was the Squirrel Hill
Representative on the UCD Board and was removed from the Board by UCD
when Squirrel Hill refused to submit 3 names for UCD to select "their"
representative for them. Cindy Preston gave testimony to that fact.
The UC-Review sent a reporter.
Wow. Thanks for reporting this publicly Sharrieff. I previously reported
to the list that upon review of the UCD web site, it appeared that Squirell
Hill continues to be the only association without a "community
representative."
So this testament strongly suggests that UCD did indeed exclude any
association that did not obey the "3 choice" command. Again, I want to
publicly thank the Squirell Hill Civic Association for the appropriate
response and good leadership in our community.

1) Racial Discrimination has been alleged because of
the disproportionate amount of whites in management
versus blacks hired for the service side. Research
and proof will need to be presented during the forum
process.
2) The popular opinion is John became the fall guy for UCD
after what many feel was a caving-in from "media pressure"
by CCD and UCD without any real facts against John.
3) We discussed what UCD-Affiliated would mean and suggested
excluding employees and Board Members. Residents who donate
money would be too loose of a definition.

If true, that's pretty serious. Was any evidence presented to support
this claim?
particularly the treatment of John Fenton.
Just to clarify, what specifically was the treatment that was called
into question? To date, the only fact I know is that John was
suspended with pay. Have any other facts come out that I may have
missed in the 1000's of list serve emails about this?
Eligibility limited to non-UCD affiliated individuals.
Are residents who donate money to UCD considered UCD affiliated?
