I had a great experience this a.m. with a small business in Philadelphia. I'd
love to just shout it out, since it's such an unusual experience for us. But is
that something that's allowed on this listserv?

If the business would be a benefit to others in the community then
what exactly is the problem? Geez. I for one welcome our far less
fanatical list overlords. (Even if you were involved with this
business - as long as there was full disclosure I really don't see
what the problem would be.)

I can't get a majority of certain profession of contractors to give me
estimates for 1000s of dollars of work... it is beyond frustrating but
my wife finally found *one* that showed up and followed up with an
estimate in a timely manner. It wouldn't have happened without Liz
Campion posting valuable business information to this list last year.
In fact, thanks to this list I've got a least three contractors I can
*depend* on. Given that I feel like kicking most contractors out of my
house in the first five minutes of our initial meeting I am not sure
how I would have made it this far without people posting business
info.
