Villanova is actually rare in being Augustinian-run, as I recall. It is not an order that invested heavily in higher education, compared to other "religious", in Catholic parlance.
Can any UC-list subscriber explain the Augustinian philosophy or mission, as opposed to that of other Catholic groups? I'd be fascinated to hear what it is, and it might give us a clue as to how to conduct ourselves in a more Augustinian manner while we are posting on the internet. Which might not be such a bad thing.
