It would be good for everyone to knoe beforehand. Defuse some of the
criticism which would otherwise be inevitable. Might also prompt some

Like I said, we're still assembling the list of candidates. It's hard to
be open with information we don't have yet.
For what it's worth, if someone did want to gather friends and run, they
actually have an advantage over most people who'd be on the slate. The
election meetings are always in October, and we've had this listed in
our newsletter and on our website (and on a sign on our kiosk).
Motivated people have always had the opportunity to start gathering
friends and start lining up support. That's assuming that they haven't
contacted us to get on the ballot in the first place.
