Folks, This is a damn bold lie. Here are quotes from official FOCP correspondences, which Mr. Siano received: Glenn Moyer writes to other members of the outreach committee on the morning of April 11, 2004 Dear Outreach committee, I asked Chris to schedule time for me during his presentation to make the report to the general membership as requested. I discussed the general meeting at Volleyball as you requested. Members were very thankful for the effort. The data I collected and will present provides an excellent anecdote for the value of outreach... Tony West responds in the afternoon of April 11,2004 Outreach Committee members, Neither Glenn nor anybody else will make a report to the general membership unless its contents have been discussed by the Outreach Committee first. Very simply: if you have something to present, Glenn, present it to *us* first. This is what committees are all about. Let me repeat: ALL COMMITTEES WORK BY COMMITTEE MEETING, either formally or informally. Everything I will report is the direct result of this Committee's work and has been shared with the Committee ( By the way, Mr. Wests bullying led to the resignation of the chairman of the outreach committee from the FOCP Board This individual was assigned the "outreach" committee chairmanship and asked me, the sponsor of the motion creating it, to present my data.) The example shows the level of contempt for FOCP members, park users, and this community. The Problem or what I was to present: Now 3 years later, I have had the Clark Park volleyball players written request to allow the volleyball activity access to water. The FOCP refused to HEAR the request for water before April 11, 2004, on April 11, 2004, through to today!!!!!!!. Problem: There is a terrible dust problem when clark park volleyball is played without access to a small amount of water. After Mr. West verified that I would never again speak directly to FOCP members , I donated almost $300, got a permit from the fire and water departments, and solved the problem for the v-ball players myself by legally tapping the fire plug at 44th and Baltimore. This is what real leaders do. With the problem solved in 2004, sometime over the winter, after only 1 season; some organization ordered changes to the fire plug at 44th and Baltimore again cutting off the water!!!!! When volleyball is played, a huge dust cloud is created over that portion of the park. It is impossible for some people to play and it is hurting everyones health. Many people in the community have passed the volleyball over the past two seasons and have seen this dust problem. Yet the solution is incredibly simple. For me personally, it is profoundly contemptuous of Siano to lie so boldly; we want to hear from all Members and all residents in this community He knows this is untrue! FOCP leaders want to sell UCD's plan to the residents! Then there is this interesting item from the FOCP web site as of 9/29: 2a. Volleyball- does not have to stay where it is- may not work well with proposed stone into a plaza. (Note: It appears this has been removed from the FOCP web site but I have a hard copy..) The Penn vision is for the north park to be the "passive" side. When individuals and groups lose the right for their voice and concerns to even be heard, they can be oppressed at will, and the abuse covered up with bold lies. The FOCP leaders have been anointed by UCD to be the warlords of Clark Park. As long as these 3 or 4 people obey the UCD agenda, they have the promise of fools gold and the sense of power to rule over and abuse their inferiors, the common citizen, at will. Sincerely, Glenn Moyer Sponsor of the 2003 directive by FOCP members to develop a process for inter group relations to replace FOCP bullying of park users > > There are big issues at stake this year, especially > the redesign of > the North Park, which, no matter how it is carried > out, will cause some park > closure during reconstruction. > > Show up at 7:00pm at Griffith Hall on the USP > campus, directly across > from Clark Park at 43rd St. & Kingsessing Mall. > Hangout and chat time > ends at 7:30, when the business meeting begins. > > Also on the table is a wrapup on this season's large > events, on this > season's tree plantings and on the new basketball > court. > > -- Tony West, Large Events Committee Chair > -- Jonathan Snyder, President > FoCP > ---- > You are receiving this because you are subscribed to > the > list named "UnivCity."
