I volunteered for the Committee of Seventy during the May primary and
know that their training covers these topics but I could not find that
information on their web site, http://www.seventy.org/. The best thing
to do is call them at 215-557-3600. I recall from my training that a
poll worker may not show a voter who to vote for inside the polling place.

Things just don't seem quite "right" at our polling place --
yesterday, for example, my son was voting for the first time. He had
to do a provisional ballot because he wasn't in the book, but a very
"helpful" poll worker wanted to show him who to vote for. This is
just one example and, granted, yesterday's election wasn't as critical
as some; I'd like to have a clearer idea of what's okay and what isn't
before primary time next spring.
