"I heard a rumor that some of the opponents, including a few with influence at the University, were planning to lobby the Trustees against the proposal.
Does anyone know anything that would confirm or refute this rumor?" No, but I hope it is true. I believe, if the larger university community found out how parts of the U. conduct themselves in our neighborhood and the city, we would hear some calls for change. I don't know if the trustees will care, but some at the university would care. I wish any such effort success! ----- Original Message ----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2008 11:59 AM Subject: [UC] U of P Trustees Approval for the Campus Inn needed? The article in today's DP and the one that appeared a month or so ago both included statements that the Penn Trustees would have to give their approval for the Campus Inn proposal. Presumably because it would involve the ground-lease of Penn-owned property on a long-term basis and something new would be built on that ground. I heard a rumor that some of the opponents, including a few with influence at the University, were planning to lobby the Trustees against the proposal. Does anyone know anything that would confirm or refute this rumor?
