Thanks Al. I must say I don't know most of them. But as a long-term member of
the community, I'm certainly ready to reach out to them.

(I didn't realize Eli Masser was still around. He was that UCD cat, the
Baltimore Ave corridor guy. He outed the inappropriate relationship between UCD
and Philadelphia License and Inspection in the Philadelphia Business Journal
some time ago. )

I understand that SHCA leaders must support the Penn hotel like other parts of
the Penn agenda. Nevertheless, I intend to appeal to the committee to
reconsider staging a "meeting" at their clubhouse, February 13, instead of
announcing an open public forum at an appropriately sized facility. What if a
tenth of the 500 UCHS members want to come?

To me, there seem to be an alarming number of simple students, homeowners and
renters in the community wanting an opportunity to meet the hotel developers at
such a public forum. There seem to be a large number of questions and points,
which they wish to bring up.

I'm going to propose to the SHCA zoning committee that they change the Feb 13
presentation to a larger facility. And that they announce the meeting in the
local paper. And that they announce the period and process for allowing
community residents to speak or ask questions on the evening of February 13.
The people will want to know that in advance; given the history of staged
presentations.

I'll cc my outreach and proposal to the list.

Glenn
