Dear Tony, Glenn et.al., While I agree with your advice Tony for Glenn to be gentle with our neighbors when asking the hard questions, I would pose another condition.
I would wish the longtime leaders of our UC Civic Associations would acknowledge the fact that they have been exclusive, unavailable when suitable, and most times unwilling to consider points of view contrary to their vision of development of our community. They should admit their conduct has been the chief reason for ostracized, outside opposition. I am glad and very grateful to Barry Grossbach has acknowledged Glenn's request for a more open community meeting with regard to the 40th & Pine hotel proposal. Now that things are safe and secure to clinch their vision of our area, (after so many years), they can certainly afford to be gracious. Still, I would hope they would admit their behavior and political actions gave birth, contributed to and continued the opposition they have despised and sought to neutralize. There should be an exchange and reconciliation on both sides as to what has brought us here all along. The ball is not just in one court.
