Wilma and Ray,

Overview of all lists.asc.upenn.edu mailing lists

As you can see, Penn has "UC Neighbors" listed on its list of "public" discussion lists. Now, the university is announcing to its network what is clearly false..

It is this creation of a false impression, linked within the Penn network, and violating the standards for the use of university electronic resources that has been a problem. The Cassidy, Lamond, et al. listserv engaged in censorship and pre-banning when the founders wanted to replace/destroy the public list. Now, it has made its archives private and unaccessible to the public and real uc neighbors.

Nevertheless, the University is announcing it as a "public" discussion with the misleading name, "UC Neighbors"

There is no speculation.

Yes, it appears UC Neighbors have closed the archives!

A new message appears, "The current archive is only available to the list members."

I pulled a quote from it a few days ago to explain the Penn censorship policy to our new list subscriber, S. Anderson. The archives had not become secret at that point.

It must have occurred about the same time as founding members Lamond, West, and Siano started the ad hominem here.

UC Neighbors is promoted by the University of Pennsylvania and is linked within the Penn network
