I hope others will join with me in pointing out that the people who came to listen and share their comments at last week's public shca meeting included renters as well as homeowners, natives as well as students.

it was inspiring to see such a mix of people -- old and young, newly-arrived and long-established, locals and 'not-from-around-heres', professionals and blue collars...

it turns out anyone can have a stake, and everyone feels their stake is just as important as the next guy's.
