Update: the community zoning meeting on the Fishtown hotel proposal will
be heard this coming Tuesday, mar 4. It would be a 17-story hotel.

In the meantime, people who are interested in the Campus Inn proposal
might want to attend an upcoming civic-association meeting on a very
similar case in Fishtown. The date is allegedly 7 p.m. on Mar. 12 at
Fishtown Rec Ctr., Montgomery & Girard but that date should be
confirmed. Fishtown Neighbors Association will hear a proposal to
erect a hotel tower on the site of Beer City at Berks & Girard. This
land has been low-rise commercial forever but behind it lies a
densely-settled low-rise rowhouse residential community. Immediately
before it, however, is an I-95 exit.
