Another disaster,closer to home than the fatal news-makers in NY & FL, has resulted from an attempt at ZERO LOT LINE construction. Excavators, attempting an in-fill building at 4821 Florence, ripped out the foundation and knocked down the porch of 4819 Florence. Tenant neighbors, residents of the six occupied apartments, suffered an unscheduled 'eviction' without notice. The building remains vulnerable to further collapse. Check it out, and get some first hand knowledge of some unintended consequences of development. The RED CROSS helped relocate some of the tenants. Insurance will not cover the frustration, headaches and lost work for the landlord, tenants and Pets that were relocated as a result of this 'work'. Best! Liz
