I just checked the UCHS web site. I still couldn't find any statement about the UCHS (mail ?) vote. Has it appeared anywhere? Testimony on Tuesday confirmed that the vote rejected the hotel but I didn't hear the totals. I'm curious to see if everyone other than Stewart and Hardy voted against.
Also, that article didn't come out in the print edition. What happened? "PA State Representative James R. Roebuck joins opposition on 400 South 40th St." There is an article about the Planning Commission tabling the hotel matter now on line. Check it out: http://www.ucreview.com/ The quote below was in the report about the Roebuck letter that I didn't see in the print edition. It suggests this public UCHS statement which I still can't find????? "While the Spruce Hill Zoning Committee has yet to take a public position on the Campus Inn, the University City Historical Society (UCHS) did vote on it earlier this week. "It was the second in two votes," on Campus Inn, explained the UCHS's President Belynda Stewart who requested that the outcome of this week's vote not be published until she has had the opportunity to issue a public statement. When asked if the statement would be published before the hearing on Tuesday, Stewart responded, "possibly by Monday." Thanks for any info, Glenn
