TheodoreTheo, whom I wrote about last week, is a FIV positive male tuxedo, 1.5 - 2 yrs old. He was stray until 12 days ago and is so grateful to be inside now. Theo lives for love and human companionship; he's such a gentle and sweet guy and a serious lap cat! He's been neutered and has his shots and is doing really well. FIV+ kitties can live long and healthy lives, by the way, but need to be 'only' cats or kept separate from other kitties (unless living with another FIV+ cat). Ideally, I would love to see this guy with someone who can give him full run of their house (or apartment), and give him the affection he craves. I have other fosters and must make room here, alas. You can read more about FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) here: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/brochures/fiv.html and on the web. Feel free to email me with any questions. This guy is special. Please pass this along to any cat-loving folks you know.
thanks, linda
