Let me stop weeping and write this- I am so disappointed that Manuel and Fox 29 news never contacted me. You may remember that Melani suggested that the burglary interviews (which had a couple of guys previously caught) had more value as sensationalism than as an important TV news story.
Since Manuel popped up on the list, I decided to give him an extremely important story for the entire city and potentially for the few remaining citizens across America watching the end of the American experiment with representative democracy. As I sat by the computer waiting for Manuel’s response, I started weeping when no response came. I must confess that when the corporate and local TV news comes on, I generally do something productive like pop in a porn video or pour a whiskey. But when Manuel reassured us about the desire to cover important stories, the eternal optimist in me, wanted to do my duty and help Fox 29. Of course Melani was not one of the burglars as someone suggested, and she was correct that the burglary story had no value beyond sensationalism. But how could I be so foolishly optimistic about the TV news while Melani got it so right? Even my boy, Sam, communicated to me; “hey human, Melani got it right while you were being foolishly optimistic about Fox 29 news. They don’t care about important stories, which need to get to the people via journalism, like journalists in countries with healthy strong democracies seek out! Dude, this is a corporate plutocracy!” It’s all very humiliating! Good observation Mel! Weeping, Glenn ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity."
