After a question about "Mikey" 2 days ago I received 7 personal
emails giving me the story, but saw none on the list. I figured one
of the purposes of this UC list is for neighbors to share information
about their neighborhood, so I have removed anything private in these
replies, gathered them, and am posting them .
It's such a powerful story--people need to know about Mikey.

"Mikey" was killed by a drunk driver while walking home about two
weeks ago.

A pedestrian was hit by a car, and subsequently passed away. This
happened at about 3 am about 10 days ago. I haven't heard if any
charges will be pressed against the driver, but when it was reported
in the Local News section of the Inquirer a few days later it said
that at that point no charges were being filed.

Michael Brosnan (local musician) was killed by a drunk driver while
crossing the street at that intersection about two weeks ago

He was a 34 year old musician and walking around 2-3 am the other
Sunday morning he was struck and killed by a car. I do not know if
the driver stopped, was charged, or anything else.

I didn't know Mikey, but many of my friends in the neighborhood,
especially from the music scene, knew him. I heard that he was the
singer in a band called CLAW. I also heard that he met his death at
that corner when he was hit by a drunken driver. That's what I've
heard from my friends...

that are left by the side of the highway after a traffic fatality,
or on a corner in the inner-city after a fatal shooting....
what happened there? I must've missed it. It was dedicated to "Mikey"
