Katy, a rescuer with project MEOW, asked me to pass the following
along. Project MEOW (and City Kitties) are currently overwhelmed with
new rescues and kitten litters - this is breeding season! - and have
run out of foster homes to take them in. Getting the young kittens
indoors by the age of six weeks is crucial, for socialization and
adoption purposes. If you have worked with kittens and can help out
please contact Katy asap. Many thanks! -linda

Hello all,
I just found a small, well-cared-for colony in West Philly and managed
to speak with the caretaker. She is wonderful and has been looking for
help for some time, so was very excited to talk to me.
She has a litter of kittens in her yard already: four 5-6 week-old
kittens. The mother is feral, and the kittens will be feral too unless
we can get them inside and tamed! The caretaker has offered to pay for
their vet bills.
I would be thrilled to trap and transport this crew, with or without
their momcat, depending on what we have available. There is also a
litter of tiny babies about a week old, with their semi-friendly
mother, that also needs foster care but is less urgent (until the
kittens are older).
Please let me know if you might be able to help these little guys and
take one of these litters (or half a litter).
Thanks so much,
Katy Hardy
