Hi Everyone:

I live in the 4700 block of Warrington Ave and on Tues. June 8th we
had a bad thunderstorm which put our phone line out of service until Thursday
6/11.

Ever since the restoration I have had this nagging problem of
intermittent problem with the dial tone. If someone calls me during one of
these
interruptions they get a busy message and go to my voice mail, the phone
never rings. At various times I will pick up any phone in the house and it
will
be dead, if I click the call button the dial tone comes back.

Verizon has sent a tech out 2 days last week and he rewired and
replaced the phone jacks in my house, he also tested all of the equipment and
said everything was fine and it was for a short time. The problem has since
returned.

Today while in FuWah I was talking to Dave, the owner and he said he
is having the same problem and Verizon has been out for him to no avail.
This morning I went to the box in the breezeway that is for homeowners to test
the line and plugged in a desk phone. At first there was a dial tone but I
left this phone plugged in for several hours and the problem started on
this phone which tells me the problem is outside of my house.

My question is, has anyone else in the neighborhood had a similar
problem recently

Thanks

John V
