While we have been open for a few weeks already, we're taking the opportunity
officially to celebrate the opening of "The Gold Standard Cafe" at 4800
Baltimore Avenue this coming weekend. We'll have live music, a thank you
"dedication" Friday at 3pm for contractors-neighbors-officials who have been
helpful, and then music, occasional free food samples, prizes, and surprises
all weekend long. We are particularly excited to welcome the West Philadelphia
Orchestra Saturday at 5pm, and other great musical talents:
Friday at 3:30 pm Louis Bryce, keyboard
Saturday at Noon, Adimu Kuumba, African percussion
Saturday at 5pm, West Philadelphia Orchestra
Sunday at Noon, Loren Gildar, guitar-vocal
Sunday at 5pm, Chris Aschman, jazz trumpet
We have our cafe menu (with many sandwiches, salads, burgers, egg dishes, and
pastries-desserts) available all day, every day (7am-7pm Mon-Tues, 7am-9pm
Wed-Fri, 8am-9pm Sat/Sun). Plus in the back room, waiter-served dinner
Wednesday thru Sunday 5-9 and Brunch Sat/Sun 10-2. Most likely as time passes
we will probably open later on Monday-Tuesday. Outside seating also!
