Here is an example of cloaking corporate welfare to the pharmaceutical 
industry.  When affordibility of new drugs is an issue, these companies point 
to research and development costs.  

It's a lie.

These drug corporations spend much more money on marketing (both legal and 
illegal)than on research and development.  US taxpayers pay most of the costs 
of research and development of new drugs.  The corporations take over when it 
is time to profit from drugs, and US patients pay full price without any 
benefit from the investment of taxpayers.

This press release does not report this arrangement between taxpayers and 
corporate profits of drug pushers.
