Here is the NYT coverage of the pharmaceutical bailout.  At least they indicate 
that some people see through this transfer of taxpayer resources without 
further explanation.  (Of course, this is covered in the money and policy 
section of the Times and not health.)


About the fraud from drug companies.  Many of the large criminal fines absorbed 
by drug companies come from marketing drugs to physicians for non-approved 
uses.  This happens quite often.  If you look at the amount of the penalties 
compared to the profits obtained, you will see why it is standard practise.  
None of the billionaires go to jail for this policy of systematic fraud.  But 
it is very harmful to patients and causes the cost of health care to explode.  

It is such a big lie to claim that drug pushing leaves pushers with no money! 
Those people from academia supporting this bailout will certainly have hidden 
ties to the corporation gravy train.

Single payer now!
