Subject: update Re: stray/lost dog hanging out on 4200 block of Regent
Last night Rie and someone else got this guy leashed, and he
immediately became docile, wanted his belly scratched (happily
obliged), and of course was fed. He's asleep in our back yard in a
bed Rie rigged up. The plan is to take him over to Philly PAWS
sometime this a.m., see if he has a chip, hope the PAWS folks will
take him (still no sign of Animal Control). If anyone knows of a
really sweet missing dog, please phone Rie (after 7:30 a.m.) at
215-435-5609. He looks young, under a year. Linda I'm not on the
PFSNI list if you want to forward further. Maybe he ran away from
someone in the park. Or, sigh, he's the right age to have been
abandoned by students at the end of the school year. I hope that's
not his story....

Linda's note: Anyone out there willing to foster this guy in case PAWS
doesn't take him ? (see Naomi's note below)
FYI, one can volunteer to foster through either ACCT (Animal Control)
or PAWS, and they will vet him (including neutering & shots). The
fosterer pays only for food and supplies (toys, etc.). :-)
I've made several attempts to post his info with photo to list purple,
none of which have gone through. email me if you'd like to see photos
of this pooch.
