Something doesn't sound right. The predator is killing and apparently not  
eating?
 
Before the owners give up, they may want to go to Cabalas or Field  & 
Stream websites and look into buying and setting up some automatic  operating 
game cameras. They are now inexpensive and can operate in the  dark.
 
Local PSU Ag extension agent and PA Ag agent may have some ideas  to save 
your birds.
