"We’re fortunate that the cuts have not hobbled the parks — yet. That’s thanks mostly to strong leadership, both from Parks & Rec Commissioner Michael DiBerardinis and those reporting to him. In fact, this year alone, four new parks have been added or rehabbed, including an impressive redo of the Sister Cities Park, at 18th Street and Logan Square. And there are ambitious plans to add 500 acres of open green space for those city residents who don’t have a park within a half-mile walk."

I guess its a coincidence that this CRISIS with Philadelphia parks coincides with the FOCP invitation to the infamous coffee clutch, to educate you little people about the need for marshal law and permits in Philadelphia parks. If you read this propaganda/marketing crap carefully, you will agree that privatization of public spaces is the only possibility which is possibly possible! Oh the "ambitious plans" Oh the green acres for little people!

(The 500 acres are empty concrete lots to "offset" the sale of riverfront land to connected developers at dollar store prices)
