Hi

I'm probably late on this, but I just found out about this proposal:

Anyone who has any information on how to support this project and anyone
who would support this project, please speak up and out.

This is a subject near and dear to my heart for a number of reasons.

As I submitted to the Review:

As a disabled person on SSDI with an cat who is companion/ESA but under 62
it is very hard to find anywhere that I can even apply.

If this building accepts section 811 - Housing for Persons with
Disabilities - I would be there in a heartbeat applying for an accessible,
affordable, clean, safe apartment. And the 30% of SSDI usually charged as
rent is about all I can afford. I'm currently on a wait list, but have been
there since last March. We, the working poor, the disabled, the elderly,
the vets are good tenants. We care, we're responsible, we're appreciative
of having a nice place to live. Just because we don't have much money
doesn't mean we don't deserve to be or remain part of this great community.

This area in particular is my home. My doctors are here, pharmacy, local
market and other local businesses that are known and accessible - and I
along with the others who would be living in this building would be
contributing to the community in keeping most of our spending here. Having
a comfort zone, being able to stay where we know people, have friends,
perhaps family, and as stated above our doctors and other medical/physical
needs easily accessed is very important.

A big plus is in the way the new building is described. It will definitely
add to the community instead of that mess that's still sitting on the
corner.

I ask, for my sake selfishly (if I qualify hopefully) and for the sake of
other disabled, vets, seniors and working adults who just don't make enough
to afford the too high rents but love this area and know all too well the
urgent need for affordable housing: please ok, fund and build this
affordable housing.

Thanks neighbors and Community Associations in advance.

Wendy
