The one I looked at was the unr seed for Jaunty, which incidentally also builds MID, and has a common component support meta to seed for building both sets. That is the same idea and we can certainly restructure a lubuntu seed set this way also. Since it was my first attempt at a seed I simply wanted to keep it simple to get it at least going.
