Could you please copy/paste the output (in the console) of ffmpeg to
this bug report?
The MS compatible AVI preset has a 640x480 size specified. I think you
want to change this by specifying the proper size of what you want as
output, instead of the aspect ratio.
Could you please let us know if this solves your problem?

The MS Compatible AVI format doesnt produce proper 16:9 videos. The output
video has the wrong aspect ratio. 16:9 doesnt work under that setting.
