Hi Shentino, the current version of mc does not build any more in lucid. Therefore I have requested to sync mc 4.7.0-pre1-3 from Debian (bug #411527). When mc 4.7.0-pre1-3 is available in Ubuntu, can you please check if the bug still exists. In this case please create a debdiff with your patch and resubscribe ubuntu-universe-sponsors. Thanks.
