Thanks radish & slimpy: Playlists seem to be working now. Using the symbolic link from root did not work. But everything seems to work OK now that the Slimserver music folder specification is the path from the mount point. So in Windows the path was "F:\My Music" and in Linux the path is "/mnt/usb/device-0/My Music" for the music folder. For the playlists folder, "F:\My Music\My Playlists" became "/mnt/usb/device-0/My Music/My Playlists".
